No prob bro! XXtreme 800 is the most worthy bird to keep. So far Smooth Eric has it as well. It is very costly indeed with combo & big to transport but I would say it is the last Heli u would ever see in the fleet. I've passed Gavin Broadbent for his raw flight performance & I'm pleased indeed with the beast unmatched. Perhaps MD-7 or Thunder Tiger 800 would be on par...

Btw, Mingda is testing to release 800 as well instead of MD-7. They're in phase test as reported by Chong.

The price is the Mikado Logo 700 xxtreme is not far away from the 800 so I am thinking to buy the 800 instead .... RCS has them in stock now.
If the spares are stock in the shop that will be even better, ya never knew when u need them.

Dave, what batteries are u using for your xxtreme? TP price is too xxtreme for now.

I'm using Zippy Compact 5800mAH 25C 7S in series for 14S. As well as Revolectrix 7S 5000mAH Diamond 60C batts in Series....

Howdy folks, flying-hobby really is efficient unlike HKing. Anyway, here are the pics. Can't complete the rebuild today but it will be ready by weekend

So far my take is that the conversion is really quite simple but the cost of 800mm mains won't be cheap. Hopefully there'll be cheap subs for 800 mains soon. I had initally considered to install 4 bearings on the TT but decided against it cos the 800 boom is not that much than the 700 so no point. I will be running 92mm KBDD tailblades and see how it holds.

I just click on Haiyin website and found that they have 7S Scorpion competition pack listed.
Also at 65C discharge and cost USD 215 each.
Maybe they are good alternative for TP.

at least 4 packs = usd860 = sgd1118 (exclude shipping) goodness, cfm cannot crash otherwise...nitro betterbut logo 800 no nitro.

Ya, I think it will cost at least 5000 to get the xxtreme in the air as the kit does not contain any servos.
BTW the revoelectrix 7s batteries recommended by Dave are cheaper.

Nice take bro! Inside the XXtreme 800 torque tube are 4 x bearings equally spaced with tapes for your note. The big chunky part on the rotor head is what I admire although it could have been better...:smile3:
