Mikado Latest V Bar "Silver Line Edition" Unboxing and Comparison

    Hi there,

just received my new vbar from mikado... well initial thoughts are quite disappointing.. but then again i read the reviews about them before making my purchase so i guess i cant complain much here.. To elaborate more on the disappointing factor is basically as shown in the pictures below...

End of the day as per what it read online.. feels like a marketing scam.. but dont get me wrong i am not saying the vbar is not good..
if fact i love the v bar and i knew what i was getting..and that is the same wonderful vbar in silver casing instead of blue..

Nice...i've got one coming to Japan now as we speak, could not wait for my sensor that is in Germany right now(stuck in customs) to be serviced by Mikado...shall fit the new one onto my 400se and see how it goes...anyways good luck on your maiden with the new stuff

Let me guess...more stable, more connected and much better in nitro.
              (ops...how I felt on SK540 )

Hey sorry for the delay, well from what i can tell both v bar feels exactly the same.. even the packaging it came in is the small.. The only difference i hope there will be would probably only be noticeable after i download the new patch.. 5.3 till then its still gonna be another blueline vbar with different colour casing...

as for the stability part i think it only affects those twin turbine engine guys.. or something like that.. thought i read about it somewhere.. anyways as for initial testing thats all i can tell for now.. hopefully more of you 3D guys would be able to clear more of the doubts after you guys get your hands on them...

Testing with the new 5.3 firmware already.. feels better in normal hovering not sure how it performs in 3d but its only a very mild improvement to me.. only downloaded the new firmware 2 days ago so still need more time to comfirm..

overall is it any better? i dont know but at least its still a good vbar at almost the same price so yea haha..

Oh yea bro since i got your attention here i was wondering if you can remember your settings for TDR when using vbar governor..

i understand main gear count is 160.65 right? then ratio should be about 12.517?

i am trying to use the vbar governor with my helijive v11 but it seems to be acting weird.. so tired of going for MrMel classes.. makes me feel like i am in school again.. hmm

                      so confusing.

jeremyts: if you are reading this, its just that my hand itchy i still think helijive governor more stable but kinda wanna use vbar governor cause i since i got the vbar bluetooth module mod already can sort of get like telemetry so quite fun...

                        Very thrilled with Vbar

still new at this Vbar..currently testing out my very first Vbar 5.2pro on my Logo400SE..not so well with the Blueline as sensor is bad and its somewhere in Germany...but top notch for Mikado's customer service..they've been updating me with regularly as it was stuck in German's customs for like a week due to lack in paperwork or something like that but now its all good and my sensor should be with Mikado in a few days time..

so i've got the SilverLine for my 400se as i could not wait that long...i'll use it on the 600 once the BlueLine is back with me....anyways i was messing around with the logs and saw that i had static hits on my heli here in Japan...went ahead and great tips from HF, i did a diy anti-static from the motor mount to the boom and of course checking for continuity, did one flight and not even 1 static hits, and the 400 was flying much better then before..i've posted the logs (first with no anti-static, second with anti-static)...

so far, i'm very impressed with Vbar..just need to tweak it lil bit more...have not done an auto-trim flight or optimiser yet...i can't tell the difference yet between the SilverLine and the BlueLine as this is my first Vbar and so far all is well...I'll post a video soon but for now i have 2 favourite flybarless system- BeastX and Vbar

                          Bro,

thanks for the update. From the logs, I believe you are not using the VBAR governance....I bet is once you use that, VBAR will outgun the beastx. Then you can look at SK540 vs VBAR

                            Hi John,

nah not using the Vbar governance as im using the kontronik and so far it has work flawlessly for me in all my 5 helis so maybe one day i will eventually do it...further more still very new at Vbar..still lots to learn just to mess around with the feel...got to take a lot to outgun the beastX though :smile3:

the one thing i still like the abt the beastx is whenever i'll go flying with a beastx heli, my laptop stays in my hotel room

                            cheers :very_drunk:

P.S: how you doing anyway with your VooDoo's

Voodoo is cool, very cool. Smooth , quiet and very predictable. I agreed bringing notebook is a pain....I don't do that anymore with SK540 , using control panel and found myself not touching it since I brought it.....Some of you flying buddy in SIngapore are venturing into VBAR governance....i am betting that they will likeit more then Kontronik...one even said to me no need to pay high JIVE $ ESC anymore. Am using hobbywing now on both my Voodoo with SK540 governance....and I have to say it is much better for me then Jive.
