Since the back end of the fuselage is very narrow, there is no way to get the servo to fit in the stock location without having to make a cutout. The solution (thanks to thunder1 on RCG) was to reposition it under the gyro mount. And this is how the servo ended up:

From what I see, u will have a hard time fixing the batts, tail servo and skids on this MD500.

But I know u can do wonders!!!

          1) Used screws to secure the bottom half of the fuselage

          2) Mounted with skids on

                Not really
The batts can be accessed by unscrewing the front half of the canopy.
The use of screws over tape makes it easier to remove the fuselage and kinda lend strength to the area too.

Tail servo is hard to get to. Have to remove half of the fuselage. But it doesnt take long to unmount the fuse since i am using screws.

Okay lets continue with the build...

Two rods to hold the fuselage in position. Rods slide into heat shrink tubing glued to the fuselage halves.

Here it is mounted and painted
Was disSapointed with the paint job. Forgot the basic rules of painting..always start with the darkest colours first.

I painted the yellow first followed by the metallic blue. Not enough coats of yellow and some of the blue showed through the yellow
Should have backed the yellow with white before spraying on the blue.

The stock T-rex skids actually goes well with this particular body set. The spacing is just about right and not too far apart or too close. Just that the length of the legs could be longer.

Last set of pics. The tail fin hasn't been mounted yet as I couldnt find a screw long enough to go through the tail case.

On second thought, the metallic blue is a little translucent. Even if i painted it first before the yellow, the yellow will show through as well. Have to back the blue with silver... so either way both colors have to backed first before spraying on the next color.
