You will need:-

1. Transmitter capable of eCCPM mixing (I think)
2. Receiver
3. 3 cyclic servos
4. 1 tail servo - faster than cyclic servos (Hitec HS-56 or similar)
5. Gyro (such as Futaba GY-240)
6. ESC for the motor (not sure if included)

Additionally:-

7. You will need to install the electronics
8. Tune the settings, adjust the tracking etc.
9. Set up your transmitter correctly

I think that's about it. You may optionally want some trainer skids.

Oh, I forgot about the beginner suitability bit. Personally, I think for a absolute beginner, this may be quite a handful to do on your own, without help. With some help you may get by. There are quite a few areas you might trip up with this kind of set up (similar for a T-Rex kit for example). Furthermore, this is a Walkera, if you know what I mean (if you don't, do a search on "Walkera"). On the other hand, if you get it set up correctly, I don't think it will fly too differently from a T-Rex.

Being a beginner, you are likely to crash the thing - so check on the cost and availibility of spares. You'll probably find it easier to sell a T-Rex second hand than a Walkera. Lastly, the actualy performance of this bird is little known at this point of time, so it's hard to get specific advise for it.
