Upgrading of Futaba 12z to 2.4GHz

Hi, been out of flying for about 2 years. Now have time to get back into the hobby. Need advice on best way to upgrade the Futaba 12z.

Currently my 12 is on 72MHz and my copters uses the 6 channel R146iP receiver.

Would like to upgrade to 2.4 GHz.

Thinking of Futaba's TM-14 module. If TM-14, is the Futaba R617FS 2.4GHz 7-Channel Receiver the most "appropriate" to replace the R146iP?

Futaba is quite pricey. Any other upgrade modules besides Futaba that can be use?
