i have no prob when flying my quantum in good wind.. but with low wind like yesterday, i really struggling to keep the kite in the air..
thats why i prefer to fly powerkite..
anyway, Han have changed the bridle to low wind.. and i will try later when weather permit..
hmmm and it seem my quantum is heavier than ur demo kite..

will try to drop by sometimes in the future provided missus want to have lunch at the compass pt..
I hope to see you in the field again soon. Well, that demo kite is an old school non-trickable model, but its a good kite, been with me since '93!
Yes, your Quantum is a tad heavier compared to Han's which has been modified with wrapped graphite rods and a totally radical bridle that I constructed from Dyneema lines.

Lets fly together, sorry I couldn't spend more time with you.

    Cheers,
    Patrick

I was pleasantly surprised by the turn out, 11 persons!
Good to know that at least there are youngsters keen to go into stunt kiting, hopefully this little spark will generate more interest and more will take up this sport.

Heard from Han that you're still struggling with your dual line stunt kite, well come on over during weekends, we're a bunch of stuntkiters here that are most willing to help

    Cheers.

Go to Anchorvale Link, Sengkang/Punggol area.
Usually pretty crowded on weekends by late afternoon.

Another good spot is West Coast Park or East Park.

Anyway, nothing embarrassing about kite flying, I've flown alone before

You are most welcome. I can understand the frustrations, been through that when I first started stunt kiting. The ability to launch/land at will will make stunt kiting more fun and pilots will feel in control.

    Stunt Kite flying basics...

I am thinking of conducting a basic stunt kite flying course (no charge) for those who want to try their hands on this wonderful sport.

It will be worthwhile if there are at least 5 persons or more.

    I will cover the following:
    • Self-launching.
    • Basic flying.
    • Landing.

Basic stunt kite will be provided at no charge. It will be sometime after middle of May as I have a heavy work schedule for now. Please email me at layangman@gmail.com if you are interested.

    Cheers,
    Patrick

    Howdy Lim,

Most welcome. Those C clips will hold better and prevent the connectors from shifting. Anyway, let me know if you have any problems. Glad to know you are able to fly the kite...enjoy!
