Hi guys esp heli gurus
Running a Raptor 50 SE with redline 53. It's this engine that i need some info
1. What's the max safe temperature of the engine? typical running temp? Anyway to run it cooler?
Last few runs of just practicing hovering, i think i hit 140+ deg C
2. Which is cooler? running low mid rpms or mid high rpms? or is it totally dependant on AFR?
3. i'm trying to hover at a slower engine speed (hence slower head speed) with higher alpha/pitch angle. Comments/opinions?
4. Engine is still running away, when it switches over to mid high mixture (suspected). Stock settings will bog down the engine at mid rpm, then suddenly engine accelerates without any increase in throttle input. Advise?
