Choosing a ducted fan

Hello all,

I'm doing my final year project now. And I have been tasked to design a propulsion and control system for a blimp. I'm not sure if a ducted fan will be suitable for propulsion as I have limited understanding of ducted fan. If yes, what are the factors to consider when choosing the correct fan, motor and esc. Will any kind souls like me know more about ducted fan and it's suitability in my case?
