    F18 Electric Foam Jet

I have started the build and will post changes to the original design as it goes.

For now the prelim fit was done. Decided to double everything that sticks out of the fuse. (I know...very Singaporean).

The best part of this design is the stabilator mechanics. Beautifully engineered, sturdy and practical. I have used scrap pvc sheets instead of ply, just to try something different. The aluminium collar on the sides of the fuse are from the Raptor feathering spindle. It fits a 5mm carbon tube perfectly. So I have decided to use 5mm throughout this project.

I have decided to try push-pull mechanics on the stabilators servo.

The collar from Raptor feathering spindle. If you have crashed ten times, you can do ten F18's.

The centre portion is using aluminium 6mm OD tubing from NTC.

Well Done Mechplas, Keep postin' man!

I especially like your mod on the push-pull elevator servo, my setup as per original design has a bit of slop, so this is a good mod!

Can't wait to see you finish and maiden your F-18

Did up the motor mount. It is simple, three balsa sq epoxied and it actually turned out to be very solid. I used CA in the screw holes for better bite.

The doubling of Wings, Rudders, strakes and Stabilators. The contour of the strake is diff as I kinda like the one seen in the movie "Behind Enemy Lines".

Looks like you did not put any right trust to your motor. When are you ready to fly that thing..?
                          Regards

No right thrust or any other angled thrust is necessary as it's a hand-launched plane
