    Motors

Bro, what motors did you use for your project? Were all the props rotating in the same direction or did you have one counter rotating prop?

    Cheers

        Building

Yeah. Was collecting parts to start one. Maybe you can show me some pointers if I hit a wall on the build.

IMHO, you should just order everything from HobbyKing.com.
          Cheap and good stuff.
Also the Telebee is strongly recommended. Not just any gyro. Some gyros don't work well.

            Parts

Got most of it already. Hoping to start build this weekend. How long are your arms?

600-650 mm total length, 450 mm from hinge to centre of motor.

                Arms length

Hmmm ... a decent size really. Was thinking of using 500mm length arms. Have not decided if I want to have "bumpers" yet

I'm only a beginner. If you are a good heli flyer, no need bumpers.
Also extending the arms for a bumper requires some trickery in the pivot joint.

The bumpers and the pool noodle foam landing gear have saved me a lot of broken props and $$$.

Longer arms make it more stable.

                  How is your progress?
