    Adaptor Cable for Spektrum?

    Hi guys,

Is there any simulator cable or adaptor for a spektrum tx? Been looking but can't find...

Or anyone here willing to sell?
Did you know that dolphins are so intelligent that within only a few weeks of captivity, they can train humans to stand at the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

Can the esky transmitter be used with Phoenix sim or do I have to use my actual Futaba tx?....dunno if my hacked futaba tx (with assan 2.4) will work with Phoenix sim(meaning whether my trainer port is still usable).

I would prefer to use a non actual tx with the simulator...

        anyone?

            Hi fudge2k85,

What does the Spektrum trainer connection look like, got a picture of the rear of your Tx? (I use Hitec so I won't know). I'm wondering if the Spektrum connector is also like the JR one, that is, 3.5mm headphone-style socket.

Secondly, what simulator are you using/plan to use?
            ... It's in the Details... :>

              Hi Crafter,

Yup, think it is. It's a 3.5mm socket. Have yet to go down to Jet Hobby to check on the cable recommended by terong. Though it does look like it would fit...

              Thanks guys...

By the way, with regards to the simulator, I'm using FMS for now. Just started my own biz so cash flow may not be as good as before for these coming few months. But Phoenix looks good.

                  Hi fudge2k85,

If it's a 3.5mm headphone-style socket, perhaps the yellow plug on the cable that Terong suggested may be able to plug straight into your Tx, without any adaptor needed. Do confirm this with the shop though.

FMS is great for first training and practice. I personally learnt to 'keep the plane in the air' and train my orientation and coordination on it, before heading to the field. Best of all, it's free and well supported by the internet community out there. I made my own cable to link my Tx to the PC via the sound card 'Line In' port, with SmartPropo Plus as the software driver. If it doesn't bore you, I wrote a thread on this at:

Phoenix, Reflex-XTR, and those other photo-realistic sims are also visually stunning too, not to mention the models behave very realistically too, like broken landing gear, bouncing off trees, etc. Too bad they are not cheap, but well worth it if you can afford it. I think they make good advanced simulators.

All the best with your sim-flying! Cheers :>

                          Is yours a Spektrum DX6i?

                          Hi fudge2k85 and others,

Are you using a Spektrum dX6i? If so you may want to check out this post by nacar and follow the link there:

It's regarding an issue with the trainer port on some batches of this Tx. Do check your Txs.

                          Right. FYI.

Hmm, am on a 5e but am thinking of upgrading soon once I'm more stable. Thanks for the info, though. Appreciate it much.
