    Is there such a thing?

Need to seek advise from the old timers here... Is there such a "cable" which allow you to use 1 slot of the receiver and branch out to 2 servos?

I bought a V-tail mixer... and i realised that ... oh dear... i have to use 2 channels... never look carefully...

    like a "Y" config?

Or is there nothing like this at all? sigh...

yes, there is a Y connector! Y connector has 2 types, 1 with reverse and 1 without.

Futaba one costs $17.10 from SHS.(according to their pricelist). Shd be able to get cheaper ones elsewhere. I think u can solder one urself too, i think it is parrallel connection(dun quote me on this!), i have nvr tried tho.

You can always solder your own Y-harness. Look for discarded or retired servos, cut thier leads and use them to make your Y-harness with a female connector.

For my large gliders, I usually cut the servo leads, solder the cable extensions between it and a serial port connector or multiplex 6 pins connector. I'll then use the leads to makeY-harness or wire harness bundle from the receiver to the connectors.

usually V-tail mixing is for Tx which do not have programmable functions .

Its also mostly for Delta Wings like Zaggi, IFO, where there's only ailerons. The Vtail mixes ailerons AND elevator . Without V-tail , you only get ailerons and no elevator . cheers !

                      V-Tail Mixing
Used when there is a V-Tail on the aircraft rather than the conventional elevator and rudder. Each control surface of the V is connected to a separate servo. Operating the elevator control stick will move both surfaces up for back stick or both surfaces down for forward stick. Moving the rudder control stick left will move the left surface of the V down and the right surface up giving the left rudder response. Moving the rudder control stick to the right will move the left surface of the V up and the right surface down, giving the right rudder response.

If you will to look at a Zaggie compare to a conventional plane. Zaggy only have 2 moving ailerons which for example while making a right turn, the mixing device can also in the same time move up the ailerons to hold your bird. Where as in a conventional plane, when you make a right turn, the wing ailerons move in alternate up down directions and the elevator behind moves up to keep ur bird steady for the turn.

Hope that these will be useful to you in understanding, just my 2 cents worth...

As what Alamin2 says, some TX doesnt comes with mixing, so u need one of these mixer to be mount on the plane to create this movements. Most digital TX will come with a mixing of delta-wing or V-tail functions.
