Just to Clarify
JH does stock spares for HB CP 2
I was thinking about ordering mine from the internet at 160$ USD + shippin from HK
COmes with:
[EK1H-E005]Honey bee CP2 helicopter, [EK2-0851]3cell Li-ion/polymer charger,
[EK1-0180] 11.1V 1000mAh Li-Polymer, [EK2-0401] 6CH CCPM transmitter
With Mods can the HB CP 2 do everything a TREX can (3d etc)??
Thanks in AdvanceStill Learnin To Fly

Hi, I have my CP2 for 6 weeks. CP2 indeed is a nice micro heli. However, it has it's flaws. Mainly are the main and tail motors. These motors are meant for 2S and running with 3S, they will not last. I have changed my main to brushless, replace the RX with GWS 6CH RX and using my JR 8CH TX, added a regulator for tail motor. It's flying well at the moment. Whether can it perform like a trex, it depends on the pilot as well. I can't do 3D at the moment but I strongly feel that CP2 has the potential........If you follow this link, you will get some knowledge on CP2.....Have fun.....http://www.daddyhobby.com/forum/show...1353#post91353Originally posted by maverick_99Just to Clarify

One thing obvious different between HB CP2 and TRex is that.... HB is using fixed pitch tail rotor. That means, doing piro/rudder turning to the left speed/torque is depend on the counterrotation of main blades. That is, the max it can turn is when tail rotor is off... Which is ugly to look at. For TRex or any variable pitch tail rotor, the piro left can be faster than HB due to it can have speed/torque of counterrotation of main blades + pitch of tail rotor.
In short, tail authority of TRex or any variable pitch tail rotor is higher than fixed pitch tail rotor.

just to add on. The gyro on the HB is not very good, cant hold the tail solidly.
wat super hornet said is related to this point. As the batteries weaken, the 'proportion' of tail to main rotor speed does not match. so have to keep trimming during flight as the battery loses power, or like wat i do, just keep giving rudder inputs.
Overall, HB i think is a good heli to start with. But cannot compare to trex, which is more suited for outdoor (with little wind?).

Hi slacker,Originally posted by slackerHoneybee 3D model is EK1H-E008
Sorry, what is ARF and RTF?
Please direct any question to my email
Post here can benefit everyone and also reduce repeated questions. May I suggest to provide more info if possible. Just my 2 cents.
ARF = Almost Ready to Fly, comes all assembled without the radio and servo, sometime with motor(I think)
RTF = Ready To Fly, that everything needed to fly, just charge battery and fly.
Cheers,
