it was like this week announce/see the pictures and next month, the actual heli is sitting on your table !

...unlike their main competitor ! (which will remain nameless! ) tease you with the news and make you wait donkeys months so that they can justify selling it to you at a price !

Na bei...I am expecting TT to come out a CCPM version of 50 size rappy soon.. Kanan my MASTER poison deep deep.... now will start heli collection laio... not going to fly but for display...

It's a gut feeling ! ...with the challenges from Align, RJX and several smaller 50 size nitro heli players coming up in the market, TT would be foolish to just sit back, do nothing and watch their market share get eaten away !

Anyway, they have been awfully quiet since their last release (Raptor 90 3D) and if you follow the overseas forum on TT, they got quite a few really good 3D flyers on their R&D team.

The RL53 looks like a really solid mill ...now the question you should be asking yourself is Why would TT make a fantastic powerplant (High power and low weight) if they do not have a fantastic and modern flying machine to capitalise on it ? ...just some food for thought !

I read the archeli site and the review by the guys there seem to be favourable. power is there, a little bit more fuel efficient, easy to tune, carb ok, no bogging.

what fuel does the RL53 use. those guys in Oz were saying they were using 35% nitro. is that the recommended fuel or can we use 15% or 20% also?

I dun think Thunder Tiger has ever came out with a crap heli ! ...old school and plastic maybe but nevertheless a very "value for money" heli.

How many bros here flew, own or use to own a TT heli ? ...say Aye !

I finally decided to buy the RL53 and managed to fix it into the raptor50. Went thru the run in peroid and then managed fly it with no problems. I talked to the ppl at LHS and 20% nitro was recommended because fuel wth 25% lubricant is hard to find in singapore (thats what i was told)

So at the moment the engine is not fully tuned yet and i am unsure how to do it properly as this is my first nitro. so still groping around in the dark.

What i definately going to do is to install the CSM carbsmart onto the heli and may need help there from the bros in DH.

Hi all bros here..
i just brought a new heli with TT RL53
Can any bro here tell me how to tune the engine?

High needle(needle valve) should be how many round open from close?
Low needle(mixture needle) should be how many round open from close?

New engine... Yah me too... I messed around with the factory setting of my TT50..

I go and turn the small screw.
The engine run super hot after only 5 mins.
I stopped running.. Open the screw a few rounds.
Bang... Cannot start at all...
The engine always get flooded..

What are the factory setting eh??
Maybe if i know, i can readjust the screw.
And re-run all over again...

Now dunno where to start off....
Need some help.
I hope some experts on TT50 can help me??

Bro, always tune your engine turning the fuel mixture needle at "5 min turn" incremental per time. Do not do big changes to the fuel mixture screw unless you know what you are doing.

If I remember correctly, for OS Hyper 50 engine, the factory setting is to screw in the needle all the way and then back out 3.5 turns. Maybe you can try with your TT50 engine and see how it goes.
