Oh that remind me seeing a video of the Cozy landing...... as you said the front wheel is free so there is some problem as it start moving side to side.....at the end the entire front gear tear off the plane and it stop dead without the front wheel the best part .... you can see the front wheel roll down the runway and pass the plane in the video

Hmmm fix landing gear is easy to add but retracts.... that will need some thinking... Those GWS retracts are design to work folding side way up . I am thinkng can they use to fold back ward by rotate the installation angle by 90 degree... (for front gear).....will it hold against the landing impact force as now the force is action inline with the servo instead of side way across. At the same time, is may not able to give you direction control without modification....

The runway is simple only problem is storage and $$$$$ lor ....if you can find enough member to share the load then should not be the problem. I can show you how we made it fold into small pc and the anti slip material used.

Thanks Jephry, what does EFDH means? i know DH is DaddyHobby

Well, this is not my first and last canard plane, i'm already starting to draw other canard planes liao, Oops!

Thanks Loyn for the retract info, nice to have retracts but modifying it to suit is a nightmare! but i'm happy as of now i fly and land on grass, my idea to go into electric is to find a plane where i can just connect-up and fly, pack-up and go-home, so different from nitro, no mess to clean up sign... now my nitro plane and helis are very lonely , but i will fly them once in a while to keep them in running condition, still love nitro though

hmmm wood ....then you need to protect it against water .....other wise the ply wood may fall apart....and the weight may be a concern too....just my 2 cents...but if free why not give it a try then....

              Steven,

to fill the sky with cosy would be cool. When can we start placing order?

              Cheers

I've finished painting it white, still not decided whether to give trim lines along the fusalage or not, mmmmm, decisions, decisions, aiyah, just go fly lah
It was a good flying day yesterday on Good Friday, it's pretty windy till 6 plus, but the cozy handled the wind very well
Flight pictures taken by my daughter Daena with my lousy grade digital camera not bad for a 10-yr-old

Loops, rolls, inverted flights, all can do albeit slower, this semi-scale canard plane not supposed to fly aerobatics but anyway it is able to do so

2nd prototype will be smaller and more agile

You are one happy man ...able to design and build your own plane and yet fly so well most of all enjoy family gathering while doing what you enjoy most .... killing 2 birds with one stone .... .... while I am flying my wife and daugther is still ......

The photo is good especially from a work of 10 yrs old child....is not the camera lar.... I have a A70 .... my wife help me to take some test flight photo of my profile cub.... cant even see my face in the pic and the plane is nothing but a patch of yellow against the blue sky......

Thanks Loyn!, if you see the video at the last portion, the cozy kind of wobbled left and right, it was done by me , playing with ailerons left/right/left/right because some fast-moving plane just passed by over me, got a lot of turbulence from that plane!
I tell you, i'm so happy the Cozy flew well, phew! It performed beyond my expectations, this project gave me so much more courage to build even more challenging and interesting planes that LHS will never carry. Go ahead and make flat-foamed wings for your future plane projects, it will fly well! I like this way because it's so easy to just draw out the wing shape and cut the foam with penknife! Build time is so much less, plane goes up the air faster! Crash on maiden? never mind, go back and build another one, better one! Artfriend compressed foam is so cheap at $2.70/pc (10% membership discount)
Thanks for the encouragement Loyn! I'm still learning new things! This is such a fun hobby!

The cozy looks much better with the windshields man.

Very nice Steven. The next step is to give it a clear moulded canopy. Not difficult to make one anyway.
