    Qpcm/fm??

    Hi All

I am planning to get an Optic6 for my plane but realised that there is 1 that comes with FM and another that is QPCM.

Can I know which do you guys think is better? A FM set or QPCM? Are they any special crystals for QPCM? Are there any restriction that QPCM must use dual conversion?

Sorry, if it sounds stupid, but i really very new to things for RC planes/Helis..

    Thanks

QPCM & FM works like the 3PK's FM vs. HRS system.

When u use QPCM, you gain faster response (not that i can feel the diff), and you get failsafe features built-in within the QPCM system.

Does it mean that my servo like 3PKs have to be digital?

No need...for QPCM, they're compatible with analog servos.....just like futaba's PCM, JR's SPCM....QPCM is just another name for Hitec's PCM system...but to work them most efficiently, digital servos are usually recommended.

Futaba's HRS systems need digital servos coz they're calibrated to handle the fast response...u plug analog servos in a HRS system and you'll burn it out..

Thanks for the info. So other than more expensive RX, the rest stays the same I presume. Thanks again
