Installing the retract servo. I'll be using standard servo, DS821.

Upgraded the retracts to DSR-30T(from Aerosmith Hobby) after test flight. The stock retracts do not hold the weight of the heli very well.

Great service from Aerosmith Hobby, I must say.

Also made the landing light next to the retracts, same as the real one.

Closer look at the underside of the tail boom section. Not many notice that the stingray has a blue light there. I did and added a blue led there.

Nicely padded tail case to prevent it from moving within the fuselage.

Overall look of the 80% completed fuselage with the Trex600 in it. Hope to test fly again this weekend.

Oh ya, thatz the EC-145 in the background waiting for me to complete also. Still have airwolf to repair. Still have big boat with big motor to fix. Still have tow boat to built. So many projects, so little time.

If it is not too late, try to lower down the frontal side of the heli body (the heli frame..not the fuselage). That will make the main shaft to tilt forward like in rear heli. Without main shaft tilt forward, it can't do taxiing. Without taxiing capability with that nice retractable will be a wasted.

There is already a level difference between the front and rear mounting. Look at the underside pics again.

The front, I used 3mm x 15mm bolt, stainless steel colour. Three stacks of plywood used.

The rear, I used 3mm x 30mm bolt, black colour. Eight stacks of plywood used.

So, if u put your heli on a flat surface (with wheels down), how much the main shaft is tilted forward?

About 2-4 degrees by my eye power. I dont like taxi-ing lah. If wana taxi, might as well get a plane. Heli is for vertical take off and landing.

As u wish...it is your heli anyway. In real heli, the main shaft is tilted around 5Degree if I not wrong.

As for taxiing, those heli has wheels and they doing taxiing is to:
                    1. land...taxiing (moving/driving) and park at destinated parking area.
                    OR
                    2. Taxiing (moving/driving) to the runway or clear area and take off.

Running take off is not called taxiing. Although some heli they do running take off due to heavy weight they carry.

Some static photos of my MH68 Stingray taken today just before maiden. I swop out the heli mechnics to HK600GT + Vbar + K&S four bladed head.
