Just get an ESC that can run on 7 cells and you are on your way home.
For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.

Bought myself a Tomy DriftLight when I was in Japan. My wife asked me if I buy to sell it at a loss.

Luckily I did not come across any rc shops in Japan.

          Hi,
Where do u all usually play ur WW2? Any concrete obstacle courses in S'pore? I hate muddy tracks cos I hate to clean-up. Dont mind a dry dirt track though...
Traxxas Rustler, Tamiya Wild Willy 2... So many toys, so little time

Took my WW2 with new (Trinity Co27) for a short spin and the motor got rather hot as compared to the stock 540. Think will leave the heatsink there... not so much to improve heat dissipation but to avoid burning my fingers accidentally. Try to remove the motor decal later and put on some heatsink compound when have time.

Do u think its any use to upgrade to a digital hi-torque servo? Yummy...

We play anywhere we meet. IMO WW2 is not fit to play on a track. More like a recreational RC.

Sure, a high torque servo is always better than stock servo.

We also come to conclusion that stock motor works best for WW2.

Can u actually feel the difference of s hi-torque servo? Currently, on stock Futaba s3003. If cant feel any difference will abandon the idea.

Changed stock ESC to Futaba MC330 and the difference is quite obvious. Better braking and more importantly, it can tolerate a drained-batt better. Still can run though slowly. The stock TEU-101BK totally wont run when batt is low on power.

Sure can feel difference but not to the scale of, let's say, monster truck. More control when cornering.

If you use MC330, can use a 2 cell LiPo.

Hi-torque servo sure got difference... better esc also got difference.. .wider wheelbase also got difference... lower CG also go difference...

It all depends on what you want the WW2 to do. IICR, someone in dh mod it to be a sui sui roadster

I'm not looking for top speed, best handling, quickest response. So stock is good enough for me. Don't want to be accused for cheating in our close race.

If WW2 topples over easily, have to reduce the servo dual rate. Maybe reduce till same as standard servo

If it topples too often, have to look at other dept.... lowering the CG....
like replacing the heavy body with a lexan mini body cannot forget this one

Think I'll race you with my buggy. Save me all the trouble.
