ya kinda true.. come by earlier on weekend mornings.. they are there usually from 8am onwards.

Mini T is quite a good choice for a start.. but in terms of scale bodies, the trex450 series has a much wider selection.

if u r really into scale, there is a few big scale helis that flies at bb too, also there is a regular scale meet over at Yishun

Thanks to folks who are at the Bukit Batok FF today.

For a start, they recommended the Mini-titan as a beginner heli instead of the Eflite Blade 400 (which was my original shortlisted candidate). So now, I have to review my options again.

Any advise from brothers here ?

Some background of my "aspiration" : If possible, I am more inclined towards scale flying eventually (not so much into 3D). For now, I have no experience AT ALL (zero), not even a coaxial. I tend to prescribe to the school of thought where one should go straight into a REAL full capability heli, rather than take a 2-phase approach of buying a "intermediate" heli (eg. Coaxial or 4channel single rotor) first, then moving on to a 6 CH type.

Does this approach make sense ? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the pointer. But I guess I have to compromise and forgo the wider range of scale bodies avail with Trex450, given that I was told Trex450 will be difficult to learn as a first beginner model.

Besides, there is a nice scale Cobra fuselage for the mini-titan which suits my taste ? [of course, an Apache will be the ideal]

Btw, is there any Apache scale for a size 400/450 heli ?

You got me all excited when you said there was an Apache scale for mini-titan, then you posted the email above.

Nevertheless, I agree that the Cobra is a good enough for now.

Typo error. What I meant was "your forum post/message" which stated that there was an Apache scale fuselage for the mini-titan, though you quickly corrected it shortly.

electric helis doesnt mean cheaper as compared to a nitro, u still have packs of lipo to purchase unless you are satisfied by a few. electric helis and nitro both have their pros and cons, if you are really serious about this hobby then get a nitro, you will learn much faster. I see that you are tight in budget then i would suggest u stick to a electric, it is enough to satisfy your hunger for flying. Anyway, this is a hobby afterall. If you like it, get it. No rules!

stick to ur MT and master the basic flights on it first. getting different class helis will only hamper ur progress. concentrate ur efforts
