    help needed for DIY skids

    hello there flyers,

as stated in the subject, i need help to build DIY skids for my dragonfly.. the wind was a lil bit harsh today, lost control and busted my landing skids.

i notice there are people who made it before.. so your suggestions are mostly appreciated!!

    thanks!!

          Juz a joke,

No need landing skids, juz hold it, power it up and lift off from ur hands. When u are done, hover it stable and catch it with ur hands!!!

DH members have done it before when the funfly was at Lavendar MSCP.

Last time when I fly my GWS Dragonfly, this is what I did on my Dragonfly's landing skids:

1st design: Using fully aluminium tubing. Nice looking light but too weak. Collapse very easily. Scrap it.

2nd Design: Using Cloth hanger (Metal type) and strip off the plastic cover and use the metal to bend an U shape (Just like Huey) and use the stock base landing skids (The horizontal part) together with the U shape to form a Huey like landing skids. More tougher and can bend back when crashes. Weak point is heavier.

3rd Design: Replace the cloth hanger to use bicycle tyre spokes. Same design as 2nd one but different metal. Lighter.

I use solder.. I think I post it in the RCUniverse before but I really think u should not use the aluminium method I use before. No good. Too weak.
