          Just some sharing...

GWS A-10 EDF 300H prepainted grey version
          Powerplant: EDF 300H x 2, 25Amp brushed ESC with Y-cabling
          Battery: 3S 1300 mAh @ 14 Amp WOT (Acrobatic)or
          2 S 1300mAh @ 11 Amp WOT (Sedated)
          AUW: 540g – 560g
CG: Top wing panel line, about 10mm behind suggested CG in manual
ROG: about 25m for scale takeoffs

          Flight characteristics:
          1. Loops without problem although looping on 2S requires a dive to increase speed.
          2. Rolls must be coupled with elevator input to reduce altitude loss due to undercamber wing design when inverted.
          3. High engine location will cause a slight nose-down when WOT.
          4. Safe hand launch at 75% throttle and hard throw slightly nose up, and watch out for nose down tendancy due to engines.
          5. Closing throttle suddenly will result in nose up.
          6. Slows down well for landings, but watch out for front gear touch downs as they are not build to handle sudden impacts.

Cool A-10....brushless with retracts will be cooler but very expensive lah.
I've also got an A-10 with rudders, but don't have the budget to do the conversion yet...nowadays we prefer to handlaunch our planes at Sembawang, it's so much simpler...less scratching head and daydreaming abt how to install retracts and save weight etc.

Dennis, abt your F-14 Tomcat...it's on my to build list , how's the performance? Do the tailerons provide an axial roll? Are you using a 'servo-slow' for the sweep wings or ur transmitter has delay? Would also like to know ur Auw and motor (amps?)
            Beautiful plane by the way!

            Cheers

I have not tried aerobatic on the tomcat yet. I am using himark 2015-4200 and a hobby wing 25amp and it draws about 10amp.

Dennis, 10amps seems a little low for this F-14 right? My F-15 flies well at 18amps...auw 600g...axi 2808 with 1800pack. Was thinking the Tomcat probably needs abt 22amps due to the extra stuff. Hmm...

                    Thanks for the info dude.

depends on the motor you're using... and also prob its a geared motor... 10amps on a 2015 is a good range don't wanna fry the little screamer

Ok....guess you won't be able to go vertical with that motor.
If possible..upgrading to a Axi 2808 direct-drive 8-4 prop produces abt 900 grams thrust at 18amps. Normal flying is at abt 65%. Even at 90% full flight, the motor comes down cold.

Just a suggested recommendation to anyone interested in a great combo for these planes.

The recommended prop is 9x6 but I was turning 9x4 on it's maiden.
