When it comes to tunnel hulls, there are plenty of options from different manufacturers.

Unfortunately, the LHSs here don't stock any of good ones.

I'll give you 2 options for good tunnel hulls.

    Option 1:

    Low-cost, race-winning hull :

    Option 2 :

    Top-end, race-winning hull :

Tunnel hulls are generally not as stable as mono hulls so more than likely they'll flip during your course of play.

What we used to do is use a lead weight, tie it to a fishing line (get a thicker gauge fishing line so it won't tangle) and the use it to hook the boat back to shore. Some people use fishing rods in bigger pond so it's easier to cast the lead weight. Takes a bit of skill.

Alternatively, an EP tug boat with a float and fishing line tied to it can also be used. More elegant but you'd need another boat.

Boats only use 2 channel radios so u can use any Tx. Just make sure that it's at least an FM one. Nothing's worse than to see your pride and joy lose control and running to concrete at full speed!

Here's a good place to pick up some tips and info.

      Happy boating.
For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.

It really depends how patient you are.

A nitro boat will require more patience because you initially have to set up the motor for break-in, after which u need to tune it the right mixture.

You're probably get stranded a few times out in the middle of the pond and have to retrieve it. But once it's all done and good. You'll be having a good time.

          Electrics are less finicky.

EP will be simpler. Just put in battery and run. It don't die in the middle of the pond/lake (unless you flip). Much cleaner too.

Since you're playing a 90 heli, I've no doubt you can cope with a GP boat. Expect the similar problems. Nothing beats the sound and smell of nitro.
