It was a a frantic, extensive search over inhospitable terrain.... the serch aircraft scoured the crash area, but the dense foliage was impenetrable... night fell....
The search continued into the next morning... after 23 hours; suddenly...

"Tuas Tower, this is Rescue One, I think I've spotted something! ..."

Specialised SAR team was deployed... using some very heavy sophisticated equipment to overcome the terrain, they finally reached the crash site....

It was not a pretty sight... oil was spilled, balsa was strewn over the crash site.... but all was not lost; Charlie was recovered to fly another day!
On-site investigation concluded that this incident was caused by a mechanical fault owing to ground maintenance (in)competence in engine tuning!
the responsible parties have been charged!

                File closed.
