Is this the first Hornet FBL in singapore??

well after haveing a day sick at home I got bored and started to do up the second hornet that I had. I always planed to make it a FBL after my inital experimentation.

I have had to ues 70% DR and -50% expo to control it initaly but have chenged the AFR rates now and its becomming more controable
    and here it is ....

and another view of the heli ..I am going to modify the AR arm a bit as it still has some play whcih is part of the controability issues that I am having ..... geees these things are senstive.

Finally the FBL is back in the lime light again after a long hiatus on the project huh.
I can expect to see it in the air on the next AIS funfly?

FBL is daddyhobby.com's patented code word for "flybarless".

the pretty little purple thing is actually a metal version of a raptor tail, some modz to keep it on the shaft

say doug, what method or construction did you use to get the head to fit on the shaft? is the centre gravity a little high? is it darn heavy?

howsit fly compared to hornet and fp?

still in beta testing stages ..used a rocker head off a hornet FP and the rothor hub from champion..
I am using a old feda shaft so its lower then the cp head and the blades were the hardest thing ..getting the weights to stay

cog I am still working out but its rather close.

will do some more flying on friday arvo .... will have it ready for the next fun fly ..got to make it less sensitive playing with the AFR rates and the dr and expos

                  cheers doug

ps the dampener is just a bit of rubber band
