Hi all.. Issit expensive and hard to convert a 1/8 gp truggy to a ep?

Really depends.

Some company releases EP conversion kits for GP trucks. That would be easy to modify.

But if you were to modify from scratch, you will need good handworking tools and skills. Drilling, fabricating and sourcing.

First thing you want to consider is buying exisiting parts off the shelf before fabricating.

How to mount your brushless motor to align with the spur gear ?

If truck is 2 speed gear, do you have a single speed spur gear to replace with? Because EP don't use 2 speed spurs.


Once you manage to get this done, the rest of it should be simpler..such as removing fuel tank, hacking out some parts to accomodate your Lipo battery, etc..

But with all the trouble, I suggest buy an EP truck instead
