    HoverCraft

    Hi all,
In the process of building a hovercraft, here are some pics.

It floats very well, with little power. Rudders and mount have been cut, yet to install, likely be done tomorrow, enjoy..

The main body is styro foam, rudders depron. Skirt is a simple plastic bag, will post more detailed pics soon.

Using 2 motors, a GWS C geared 300 to lift and AXI 2212/26 on the back. The throttle has been limited to 30%, still more power than it can handle. Not sure if this belongs here in the boats discussion board, moderators do feel free to move it wherever.

      Questions most welcomed, cheers!

          Good job, Mathieu.

I thought of doing something like a hovercraft.
It's those crafts that only be played in the swamps.

          I always talk the talk.
Guess I have to walk the walk this time.

Think SR.N5 less complex, plan is also easier to follow.

Hi all, sorry about the late reply, school's a little mad..

There are many complicated skirt ideas out there. Was very pleased when i stumbled upon this one, simple. http://www.microrccenter.com/forum/i...howtopic=11945

The pics didnt come out in order, here's the underside of mine..

Yeow, the fan you see is whats blowing up the skirt, its a C geared 300 with a 9060. The throttle is set to about 15% to lift it as seen on the original pics above. So yup, not much power needed.

Will finish up over the weekend, if time permits..

well...in case u didn't noe, there's a function in all computer transmitters called 'End Point Adjustment' that you could use to limit your end points which in this case is 15%
