JW RC Flying Club Forming up - Meeting - jurong flying field

Calling all JW Flyers (heli/plane). Please avail yourself for the above meeting this Sunday morning 11/4/2010 @ 9.30am at JW - location (kite flying field-no sign field) to meet up than go coffee shop. Please help to inform those folks who are not on DH of the meeting.

Meeting time to be prefer 1 hour duration for discussion (9.30am ~10.30am ,those need to atten to family can proceed ahead aft 10.30 - family time )

Agenda

1)Meeting on what had been discuss during AFS meeting - need to know and why, how AFS can be useful to secure flying area.

2)Discussion - how to form the club-flyer name list, club benefits and ideals

3)Voluntary to be (VP, chairman, secretary, 2nd IC, policeman) - spokeman for HDB, SLA, AFS, CC, meetup session MP etc.

4)Funding for members fee, amount to be and sponsor - event, CC, member T-shirt, insurance, quarterly news letter etc.

5)Free to contribute working ideals benefiting RC flyers (plane/heli).

Need you support for the contribution to make RC flying in JW field possible many hands make the job done .

We are forming a flying community, need regular meetings, committed to work things out to secure a flying place. If you are able to come do join us. If you are busy, you are excuseable... your ideal and work will contribute somehow.

Work have to be carried out to make things happen (a flying place for rc enthusiast in jurong west)

Hi guys, just a comment. I appreciate everyone for taking the lead to start this. I know I am going off-topic by a fair bit, but I am sincerely hoping the folks 'leading' the formation of the club can help pass a simple message around. We have already been warning, first with a no flying sign, then a no littering sign. Finally mata coming to invite folks for kopi.

Now that some has already 'migrated' to much smaller fields in the vacinity, it will be great to at least start practising some simple common sense to help prevent these smaller field from getting banned; and perhaps get the big field back.

These common sense/social responsibilty are simple things like
1) fly safe
2) don't little, pick up your trash
3) don't be a nuisence to spectators/passer bys.

it is sad to see some people just refuse to learn. Just this morning I was flying at a smaller near AYE, I saw a newly broken GWS prop in the 'new field'. If the govt bodies keep receiving such complains, it won't be long before new fields get banned too.

I trust the folks who are trying to lead has sufficient kakis to help "save the fields". Talk to your flying buddies if they "forgot" to fly safe and start showing their skills (aggressive 3D near buildings/people/road). Do what Kysho Lim does, maintain a good rappo with the regular passer bys (joggers/aunties/workers). Pick up rubbish left by black sheeps etc.

Hopefully some day we can all "quietly" enjoy ourselves again. In the past 6+ years we gathered at the same field, we seen mata come and go. Let's not give them a reason to come again. No matter which field

OUR FIRST STEP - jurong west flying club

I would like to thank members of Jurong West Flyer field who made their way for today (11/4/2010) meeting. It was encouraging to see a brother who don't normally come down make it for the meeting and discussion, some flyers even inform others by calling them to participate in the members listing.

I had gather futher pointers and wrote down some of suggestion that had discussed (the grp morning and evening session flyers).

In total there are 28 name on board already - JW flying club more to come to be members. Happy to see number of respond.

Some flyers mention wanted to join both different flying side as members too.

Today meeting discussion was very positive and with the flyers support (negative feedback was been put dwn quickly), it was great to see effort to put in place to have a piece of own flying ground. I saw harmony, ethicate, encouragement and make friends amoung flyers.

This is only the beginning... the start... very first step

2nd meeting will carried out soon (2~3 weeks later - target end of april 2010, date will announce in this thread again)

Meanwhile I would like leader to summerge and head the club to be the president / vice president.

We have 2 duty officer selected (own club members "mata") to control safe flying, rubbish thrower, no nitro flyer (no nitro flying both plane and heli suggested), nuisence to spectators/passer bys, cigarettes bug thrower, etc to facilitates the field so "nic" no worried for you by commending, lets put in your name and join us and be the mata too.

(Most members are 95% using 2.4G ecept me I am still using 72MHZ occationally do check w me pls).

Kiratime, have you put in your mame in the member listing to join JW Flying Club? Once you put in you can up hold the newbiz/reg flyer on freq cx and landing. Any dispute/unhappyness highlight to the vice president, president, secertary (now not selected yet)

Hi bro i cannot lead i must admit i have no leadership qualities as a student i do think its not appropiate to lead, but during the holidays i will try to help out as much as i can

I would like to join the club, how much? Once there is president, vice president and there is sponsorship (e.g. hobby shop, singtel, starhub, tamaseak holdings, Singapore areospace, community, singapore pool) it will be free and or even lower cost. cheers
