Nice truck to run, haven't break any parts besides the shocks popping out. However, I. Feel it's a bit too small and the vxl brushless really is worthless. It heats up pretty fast and the setting doesn't stay for me.

I've ran it at segar and Racecraft at BTP

not much issues for me. I don't bash or race, just drive it around the road and at the pool sometimes....

fast and fun. it does get stuck if the water is too deep...
      huh

Yes running on 2s. I've since remove the esc and put in a cheap 60a HW

I've in a few occassion when set to lipo end of the run the setting was changes to nimh. Even gearing down from the original rtr gearing it still runs hot

i have 1 and am pretty happy with it.

the vxl esc tends to overheat on 4S even with an external BEC and a custom cooling fan, while there are no problems on 2S.
i've swapped it out in any case and replaced it with a Castle Sidewinder. Running on 4S with external BEC and the stock motor. Have mounted a fan on the motor as it gets very hot. No problems with thermal shutdowns since.
Running on 23T pinion, it is very, very fast.

I might be getting this car soon also. Saw my friend very happy with his as well.
I have some 'theories' about the overheating ESC. I think it won't heat up if you only run on road. But on grass, have to make sure grass is super short. Otherwise maybe will overload the power system.

Even my nitro buggy engine lastime also always overheat if I ran in grass that was abit too tall.

If you wanna run on grass, then maybe must change the gearing (pinion & spur gear combo) so get more low end torque instead of high end speed? And if you still want speed on top of torque, then increase voltage to 3s instead of 2s?
