RC10T4 is a Stadium Truck, something like your MT2. The buggy version is RC10B4.

You've got one already? :L :L :L Check out an extensive review and mods by a local guy here. (http://www.cool.per.sg/bloodclod/index1.html)

I suggest you play it as is before making it 'better'. :)

Thanks, MA. I read that already. That's why I went out to get it. :) The only major fault is the shocks.

Have a good holiday!

Winnie used to sell Assiciated and Losi stuffs but not sure now. Order from Towers lor. But be forewarned.....parts will be an issue.

I'm thinking of ordering the Duratrax Evader BX (http://www.duratrax.com/cars/dtxd22.html) from Towers. Can order together to reduce shipping cost. :) But you have to wait 6 weeks, coz that's the time it takes for the stuff to arrive here via the snail freight.

The Associated RC10B4 Buggy Kit (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDAX9&P=0) is USD$170 from Towers.

Hmm. US$170, eh? Sounds ok. GIAN! :) I'll let you know about getting stuff together. Quite feasible.

This month no good....discount is only $15 for >$150 order. Next month should be better. Last month, if order >$300, it's a whooping $40 off. Can offset most of the freight charges. :up

Hi, another question. I built the Gravel Hound, supposed to be 4WD. When the power is off (car n Tx), and I put the car on the floor, I cannot push it along. I have to really force it before the car moves. Is this normal? Also, when I drive it, the stock 540 engine gets real hot in about 5 minutes or so. Cannot even put finger on it for 1 sec. Normal?

Thank you!

you got your gear meshing wrong or your spur/main gears are shot.

sounds to me something is binding again. your car should be able to move when its not switched on. this binding can cause the motor to heat up too

Also, if rip off tyre from wheel after gluing, can wheel still be used?

Gum sia!!! :)

its got nothing to do with new or old lah.

look at the car again and see where is it really binding the movement. check your diff, your drive shafts etc

I am using CA glue

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCX49&P=ML

can get from winnie for like $7-8

as for tearing it, depends lor, be careful not to tear the tire. MA is using nail polish remover, apply on the CA and leave it for a while till the glue soften and can be removed. then all can be reused

Every rotating part you build, make sure it moves freely. Apply grease when instructed. Read manual properly to make sure there's no mistake. :)

Ok, opened up the thing, lubed it up again, changed the plastic bushings in the wheels for sealed BBs. Some improvement. At least I don't have to push quite so hard. But the motor heats up something fierce after running it with a 3300mAh batt for 15 minutes. Can't even touch it because it's so hot. And it smells funny...

At home in my hall, the servo glitches. Outside in my corridor, it glitches less. Downstairs in the open, almost no glitch. So. Conclusion? At 2345hrs last night after coming up from chasing a cat with the Hound, I've decided to do all future testing of any car in wide, open spaces. :)

Haha! No lah! :) I think something wrong with my assembly. Donno why the engine so hot. Unless it's normal... I never check my Hornet's motor temp after a run.....will try tonight and compare.

Actually can play at home til motor overheats....go forwards and backwards until battery dies. :D

Stock Tamiya 540 motor (also known as silver can or Mabuchi) should not run hot and will have long running time. :)

HA! Problem solved, thanks to MA!! I installed the motor wrongly... Now everything smooth smooth and motor is running a sane temperature.

Then I drove it into a puddle of water. At night, mah. Can't see..... :bh The whole buggy stopped responding. I thot "die, ESC (new one!!) and RX gone fart. That's $160 worth of damage."

Went upstairs, opened up ESC, put back together again and everything worked....HENG, AH!!!! :) :) :)

Any way to waterproof it and secure to chassis?

There's no need to waterproof the whole chassis. Just protect the ESC and Rx and you're fine. Here's an article (http://www.rccaraction.com/rc/articles/ht_snoproof.asp) which will help. :up

Bookmark the website, it offers a wealth of information! :)

Glad to hear you've settled the meshing problem. Now your Gravel Hound is a different beast right? :sneaky:
