If not because of the missing shipment I should have one nib by now

Anyway always interest to build one....but thinking is it possible to build one from large PVC pip instead ? .....Just to start off scale look may not be major concern....as long as it works... Can make one look like those US attack sub.....nothing but a tube like pressure hull. How does that sound.

We should definitely try the PVC route first. The ones in the rc website looked really cool ...EC1 and 2 I think.

Sorry, forgotten to post the most important section.

This is 1:72 scale, the model works out to be around 2.5m long, thats too big! I think scale it down to about 1.2m should be quite handy to transport.

Actually i found out that sailing r/c sub need not be in a swimming pool with clear water, as it is possible to control how deep it will dive. In murky water like punggol, we can dive to periscope depth so that what is visible is the periscope and wake behind the sub, or just sail on surface of water. But I think R/C sub must be at least 1.2m in length, otherwise no shiok!
