I just got a gallon of fuel and it says it's for heli and plane. 25% nitro and 18% oil, Cosmo black Special. Can I use this on a truck with recommended fuel at 20% nitro? Appreciate any help rendered. Thanks.

its true bro coz there is lesser ventilation on a car or truck than an airplane or heli to which a constant air flow is given to the engine. .rule of the thumb if the engine says 20% nitro it means you can use 20% or lesser to be able to run the engine properly but by doing so of using 25% nitro you tend to make the engine hotter coz more power is created. .Originally posted by khpan2003 View Postha ha... it will blow out the engine before the gallon of fuse finifh

btw, car engine run more hotter as compair to plan/heli.. thus the mix is diff..
but in contrast to my statement i have a hpi savage with a 4.6 engine running on 30% nitro
but recommended is 25% but i have a modified 40mm edf and a head heatsink enclosure on my engine

thanks for reading. . .

Never tried cosmo in a car engine before, but I use the 20% cp heli mix for my car whenever I take it out to run during sch holi. Doesn't seem to cause any issue and some people have commented that my engine is powerful. Acceleration is a bit sluggish as compared to when using car blend, but I never really tune for max performance either. YMMV.
Car fuel just have lesser oil and some castor as compared to heli fuel, isn't it? As for higher nitro content, a cooler plug or a shim might help to cool a bit.
