Serious RC, means lots of money involved.
A basic RTR (car and controller) electric model will cost u around S$300 (+/-)
A basic wall charger & battery, will cost u around S$100 (+/-)
Therefore they're not cheap (radio control r/c)....
And that's why they are not called children's remote control...

I believe most guys here play RC flying right? Try Rotor Hobby. They brought in Thundertiger cars for drifting and touring too.
Trust me, is the cheapest Ready to Run package ever found in the market with all the important stuff included. I must stress the sentence out, important!
"Drifting is not about speed, is about style"
Yokomo Drift Package 1.50x overdrive
Team Magic E4D 1.70x overdrive

I bought my first & only nitro car from rctech.net forum. Now still actively playing it. Cheaper this way since I not fully into RC cars. Just play play.....Originally posted by Tiger S33 View PostHi friends, where do you buy your first RC cars? (I mean serious RC, not children's remote controls) How do you made your choice?
Playing RC Car takes lot of time & $$..... just as much or more than flying RC heli....
After so many years, I am still a beginner

Thundertiger recently come out with a brand new 1/10 EP chassis call "Sparrowhawk VX" for touring and "Sparrowhawk DX" for drifting. Well, i don't know about GP price but definitely the EP chassis are the cheapest."Drifting is not about speed, is about style"
