Ok use Mr Thinner from gunze. Use the thinner for laquer based paints. Pour some of the thinner on some rag or tissue paper and use it tp wipe off the paint. DO NOT use industrial thinner or acetone.

Please remove the paint at a very well ventilated place.

If its removing lexan shell paint such as Tamiya PS paints, use nitro, if remove plastic shell paint such as Tamiya TS paint, use brake fluid, I personally prefer Shell's rubber sealant friendly brake fluid.TS paint are harder to removed, u need to dab the brake fluid on the shell and leave it for at least 30 mins to let it dissolve the paint, dependind on the thickness of the paint.

Do you need a tank of acetone for that ?

Seriously, don't bother. The last time I tried that. The shell is gone.
Best is to get a new shell.
