omg , my screw , a 2.5 sized allen key type screw had gone bald .

Use a bolt extractor, rather hard to find. Ask around at good hardware store and also ask them to teach you how to use.

If not here is how you can remove your bolt:

If yours is a Button head / other type of head (as long as got head):
Use a dremel and cut a slot so that you can use a " - " screw driver to unscrew it out.

If yours is a Countersunk:
I will usually drill out the whole head and free up the parts. Then use a vice clamp to grip it and unscrew it out or like the above, cut a slot and use a screw driver to unscrew
