    Need recommendation for R/C car

    Hi guys,

Used to play a kyosho pure ten nitro almost 10 years ago,but the car has long been given away.

Now wana start the hobby again, need some advice from you guys.

Looking at a 1/10 scale nitro car, with a budget of <$800 including everything. What brands do you recommend?Where to buy?Last time i bought mine from a shop at 2nd level Orchard shopping centre(IIRC).

Should i just buy a RTR?But i would prefer to fix the whole thing up myself as in this way i would be able to know the whole car in case i need to repair it.

Also, where do you guys usually play?I know there is a track at east coast but is it free?or open to members only?

    Thanks alot in advance.

I dont have much knowledge about this.Only know 1/8 scale cars are bigger.Any other difference?

Also,my budget of $800 includes everything including the rx and tx.

      Is HPI a good brand?

actually, for me i think is the other way round. GP on road tracks i know only of the one in east coast, while GP off road there is bukit panjang and ponggol.
the thing is off road vehicles can run in on road conditions but not the other way round.

Hobao and Hong Nor are 2 different manufacturers. from what i see, ofna is just a middleman

hobao can get from Winnie at orchard plaza
Hong nor can get from sunny at Grandlink square
