    need help on r/c cars...

    hi guys,im new here...
need some help on my r/c car..

mine is a shaft driven nitro r/c car,now the rear wheels cant move,or should i say its loose cos of some metal types gears that control the rear wheels, something like a LSD in a real car...

btw,i dont mean the gears that can be seen from outside the car,the gears im saying is hiding inside a box,i think theres a set in the front n a set in the rear...

how should i go about doing it ?
is the metal gears expensive ?
    where to get it ?

    thanks alot everyone !!!

OK u are talking about the rear pinion a and bevel gear. What about the spider gear inside the rear diff? u know the bigger gear. U dismantle it and see if anything inside is broken. Anyway wat is the brand of the nitro car you are talking about?

the problem with the car now is when i hold the car up,i try reving it,it seems the front wheel is spinning more than the front...i finds it weird so i went home n dismantle the car(which is my first time doing it,LOL),then i found out theres more gears in the car beside those that is visible...headache...

lucky last time i played with Tamiya mini 4wd,still able to fix things back..lol...

If u know the model of your truck then just go and get the replacement. Toykar is the distributor for kyosho. www.toykar.com.sg.

The replacement gears should not be too expensive. If it is only the pinion that is worn out, just replace the pinion. It both the diff gear (bigger gear) are worn out, u will need to replace both of them. Best thing is bring your car down to a hobby shop that supports kyosho cars and get them to check it. The pinion and diff gear replacement shouldn't cost more than $30. Or if u know exactly which parts to get, u can get them online. www.******.com is a good place.

OK if u are not using a centre diff, the car should still be moving as only the rear diff is destroyed. If u have a centre diff then it should not be moving at all. Anyway it was quite brave of u to purchase a nitro vehicle for your first car. Nitro needs a lot of setup and cleaning. Just read up more on nitro stuff.

Now i intend to get another Nitro R/C car...
a belt-driven i think which i heard is better than the shaft-driven one which im having now...i heard it can go for races or etc...

anyone has advice for any brand or types that i should get ?
                        n the price for it?

should i self assembled everything(i mean buy parts by parts)to fix up a car,or should just buy a new box n fix it up myself then slowly upgrade ?
n which scale should i get?
