need help with nitro car

hi guys i have a nitro car. i just bought the fuel and everthing else. but once the engine starts running the wheels starts spinning by itself at a very fast speed for about 3 secs and the engines dies off. whats happening? can anyone help? please feel free to PM me or leave a reply. Sounds like fail safe kicking in.

seems like throttle full ball and tuning too lean.

Check that the throttle servo pulls the carb correctly and try again.

may i know what car u playing now? It is a RTR kit ?

Strong feeling either wrong carb settings/linkage setup.Before starting,check if the servos and linkage are not binding.Take off the air filter and with the brakes on,see if there is about 1mm gap in the carbs.This is to ensure constant idling of the engine.Release the brakes and see if the 1mm gap is still there.It should not open bigger.If not trim the servos via your TX or reposition your servo horns to have that 1mm gap.

Next,try and set your High Speed Needle to it's default settings.We cannot advise on this as different engine has different base settings .There alot of tutorials on the net and youtube.Browse around and you will learn more.Hope this helps!

thanks guys. manage to fixed it. but i have a problem now. which is that when i have a full tank of fuel and i start running it. it will be emptied within 2 mins. i also see dirty fuels on the chassis it self. its so much that when you tilt the car one side it will drip.
