I hope Zoom 400 will be catching up just like Dragonfly or at least like Aerohawk. If that happen, the we can buy it cheaper and more spare parts.

I have Himaxx HA2025-4200 with Castle Creations PHX-25 waiting for new and bigger chopper (Like Zoom 400. Motor might be too heavy for Hornet 1. Not sure about Hornet 2 but Zoom 400 is perfect for that motor)

Haha i doubt anyone who's in this forum would buy from them... only those who have no idea would pay 450 for a kit when they can get it at 350 from overseas..

Today I go and molest the 3rd Zoom 400 at "That Hobby Shop". Here is my comment on Zoom 400.

Note: Everything I going to say is based on what I feel about the chopper. If you don't like my comment, u can just ignore it.

Ok... here is what I feel:

The landing skids is way too narrow. That might cause the chopper to topple down easily.
The main Blades and Tail Blades feels like foam. Therefore, be very careful about it.
The Tail Boom and Boom support are all made for SOFT ALUMINIUM! Those aluminium not even anodized. So, it is soft. May get bended easily.
The gear linkage between main motor and tail shaft and tail shaft to tail linkage is using triangular teeth gear. That means it is easily break. (I feel so, I might be wrong)

Overally it is very light and nice to look and feel at. I will not know how well it perform when flying it personally.

Great observations, super hornet. All of them can be rectified however.

The landing skids is way too narrow. That might cause the chopper to topple down easily.
The skids can be easily changed to them jr skids.. bolted onto the chasis
The main Blades and Tail Blades feels like foam. Therefore, be very careful about it.
They do have CF blades.. but i guess we can make some woodies.. or even use the H2 blades
The Tail Boom and Boom support are all made for SOFT ALUMINIUM! Those aluminium not even anodized. So, it is soft. May get bended easily.
They have the anodized boom and support upgrade availble already
The gear linkage between main motor and tail shaft and tail shaft to tail linkage is using triangular teeth gear. That means it is easily break. (I feel so, I might be wrong)
I was just wondering if we could use those tamiya cars gears. Anyone familiar with them?

Hope these would set ur mind at ease

                            Bonjour Brat:
Let me know what kind of price you are getting them at. if it's anywhere near THS price, think i'll have to pass.
considering between this and a r50v2 (same setup cost if going brushless ) and the latter seems more worthy for money.

                            lipos say 2 packs of 2000 3s = $250
                            himaxx 2025 4200 = $100+-
                            Pheonix 25 = $140+-
with the $450 price of THS, total is around 850.

                            raptor 50 = $600+- with tt engine
                            Starting accessories = $100++
                            total about $800

u tell me what u think.......

We're looking at S$360 per kit

                              The 2000s are too heavy for the zoom.. ppl are using the 3s tp1320 or 3s kokams 1500 - $70x2 = $140
even with the brushless setup, its a total of S$740

For raptor u'll have to add in $30 fuel after every +-10 tanks
                              Failure is not final,
