Reverse Speed Controller

Hi,
I am in the process of Building a RC Decoy Duck and am seeking help from anyone who has idea of making having the motor to move forward and on reverse.
There is recommendation to use Hitec SP610RF (which is Reverse/Forward Speed controller) but Pricey and have to import.Any other version ?
Any Simple tricks? Motor consider is size 400.

Hi,

Why not transfer the circular movement of the motor to a forward-backward movement? Sorry if I can't describe this properly. Connect a disc to the motor and then connect a rod to the disc. Have something to hold the rod. When the disc moves in a circular manner, the rod will move at a forward-backward manner.

Something like a reverse steam engine, where the piston (forward-backwards movement) spins the wheel (circular).

I think this is much more efficient than having the motor moving forward and backward. Cheaper too.

Car controllers usually comes with reverse. or if u buy the 400 motor with esc attached to the back, some of those has reverse capability, can't remember which one, SHS or HS may have those.
