                Hi Oceanus,

Thanks for the pic. QA : Is there a scale glider ( like those in white ) of wingspan ard 1-1.2m? I am interested to take up soaring but size at home is a real issue.

                Cheers

                Mike

Nope. The smallest commercial scale glider kit I ever come across is a 1.3 m Salto H101 aerobatic glider, which I do not recommend to one who has not done any slope soaring before. Anyway, small gliders generally do not fly as well as the bigger ones. The yellow Ka-6 own by my friend is an own-designed scratch-built balsa plane, which is about 1.2m. It flies okay, but a little too twichy in strong gust. He ever built some semi-scale pre-war TG-3 gliders at around 1m span which flew well, but requires sub-micro equipment. It's scratch-built balsa plane as well.

The Nimbus 4 shown in the picture is 2.6m span which can be dismantled into 2 part wings and shortish fuselage. Pretty handy but cost quite a fair bit. As far as I know, he ordered it from Canada which cost about $400 Sing. Anyway, scale gliders are not a good way to start slope soaring. Get a sport glider to gain experience first will be better.
