          Thank you for your replies.
The stock that came are loose cells packed nicely from A123.
But we have catered to the solder bars that are sold separately.

A123 are subjective to different & versatile requirements and that's one of the reasons Hyperion do not pre-pack them...

But if you guys need help, we can offer to solder them for you to your requirements. (subject to additional cost eg shrink tube and wires)

I have hyperion eos 5i and the lba 10 balancer at home. How do I know if my charger can handle the a123 cells?

scroll through battery type... if there is A123 type, then yours is the latest version of EOS5i.
All LBA10 are A123 compatible but not the LBA6

Wow...this is GREAT , I don't mind paying for the additional materials and service cost. It is still cheaper than buying high capacity lipo.....

sorry for the late reply guys.
Had a long meeting with Ken...

                      Here's the GOOD NEWS...

We will offer assembly of A123 (soldering including balancing circuit routing)
All assembly of A123 cell will be pain-stakingly done by AMMO at a certain fee. Depending on the number of cells you require, different charges applies.

We have many phone calls this afternoon regarding 8S lithium Ions to be soldered for you, no firm answer regarding Balancing Tabs but after discussing with AMMO he is willing to run the internal circuitary for the balancing tab for you.

Guys, we appreciate your kind understanding that soldering round packs into a fix bar is not going to be an easy job. Give us a call during office hours and we will be glad to run through some check list for your custom packs...

Thanks to Derrick for the headsup.

It is important that customers understand it is very time consuming and tedious for such assemblies, there will be labour charges and an expected leadtime of 5 days.

Please contact Sky Hobbies for all purchases and directions.
I will not be conducting any A123 sales.

I support Ken and Derrick point about the labour work involved. I build 8S A123 myself and it can easily take almost half a day to get it done properly and that is after many practises.

                            I like to enquire :

For helis which are using 11.1V lipos, how many A123 cells would be required? If it is 4 cells, it is 4x3.3v=13.2V. Would that be over-voltage for the ESC and motor?

no, i dont think so. cause what i remember is that after charging, the voltage will drop abit. btw, i think for 11.1v type of heli, dont use this batt lah due to power to weight. but you can try running 4s A123.
