Any insurance agent to clarify?

I read about this article in Sunday Time investment section about short term and long term insurance plan.

They had explained and drew out a table showing its much more beneficial buying short term insurance plan and invest the other part of the money. If the investment yield 7%, the return is even more. In short, you get insurance coverage as well as liquidity from investment arm

My understanding could be wrong thats why I hope anyone good at this area can comment

Didn't read the article and don't know about these plans, but I think we should only buy insurance for the sake of insurance and not have any investments "bundled" into it.

There'll always be some management fee embedded with these investment plans so ask about them first ...
