    Zoom 400 - mass order

Anyone interested in ordering this wonderful heli?

Can get discount if we order together... so far if order 2 sets, can get them at about S$350 each, shipped... so if more, i believe will be even cheaper...

          Definitely tempted.

Also, if a mass order is done, I suggest that on top of the heli itself, all the regular upgrades/spares be ordered at the same time.

Could someone do me a favor and list ALL the components with estimated cost required to get this thing airborne ? Pls provide a list of 'realistic/respectable' components and not the cheapest stuff.

Btw I'm a nitro flyer and have got a 9CHP. All this electric stuff is new to me.

          Thanks!

Bon: What kind of pricing can be expected if we get 3 ? i'm very very interested....

I must say though my heels are cooled each time i get a look at the heli's ridiculous looking landing gear that's so hideously narrow...

Chris at "That hobby shop" told me he's taking stock of the zoom400 as soon as he can so if anyone's thinking of waiting you could contact him and ask him about when, how much etc.

AirTrekker, the kit comes with 400 motor.. so i guess the things needed are:

ESC - Anyone know which esc can handle up to 30A?
                  3x Hs-56BB - $33 each (rotor)
                  1x Hs-50- $50 (rotor) OR 1x GWS pico servo - $26? (champ)
                  1x gy240 - $150 (champ) OR 1x gy401 - $180? (champ)
                  1x GWS 6ch rx - $45 (champ)
                  1x 3s 1500 lipo - $70 (that hobby shop) OR 1x 4s 1500 lipo - ??

                  Hope this helps
                  Did i miss out anything?

                      cant confirm right now

still cant decide if i'm going to spend the money ( which as of now i dont have as my ns pay hasnt arrived yet ) on a nice 2m glider which i cant bring with me when i go study in the us or put in more money into this new helicopter craze thing i seem to be going through by getting the zoom....

And those skids are so amazingly ugly !

                        Thanks for the info.

Is there a need for a high speed servo to complement the GY240/GY401 ?
Btw, my TX is on 29Mhz freq. Does the GWS receiver support 29Mhz or do I have to go with a Futaba ?

Also, are there any 'mandatory' upgrades required for this heli e.g. TR gear ?

The Pico servo is a pretty fast servo already.. but the Hs50 would be the best ofcourse..

I'm not sure bout the GWS rx but if u wan, can always get the Berg 5 rx.. rock solid

U did ur research dint u? U r right bout the TR gear, they seem to be developing the metal gears for it now... should be available as an upgrade soon...

Mandatory upgrades? hmm.. not sure.. the video up there was flown stock

I've been doing a little reading about this heli...

Still know nuts about electric helis but learning. About the ESC, any thoughts on whether a CC Phoenix 25 would be ok ? Or would it be better to get something a little 'bigger' ? Not too sure how much it costs though. Also, would the CC-25 require a BL motor i.e. the stock motor would have to be retired ?

Also read some negative comments about how the linkages are connected. Z-bends are used instead of ball linkages so looks like possibility of additional 'upgrades' is high.
