    DHPG FunFly

I may want to go into R/C and am looking for tips and advices before plunging into it. Due to time constraints, I will just invest in casual flying and may not have time for serious r/c'ing ie plane customization, building etc......

As such, I would like to know when the 'weekend flight schedules' of the Sengkang/Punggol flyers so that I can pop over to have a look-see.

    My schedule now:

    - Sats: Mornings (0700hrs to noon)
    - Suns: Afternoons (from 1500hrs to 1830 hrs)

Also, any flyers staying in serangoon central area that can guide me in this hobby? we can lim kopi and chit-chat in the evenings.....kopi/beer on me.

For electric plane, there are people flying their planes almost every day (except when raining) in Punggol during morning 7am plus. More people during evening, till about 7.30pm to 8pm. Opposite Punggol Plaza, the open field.

There is a heli group every Friday nite, usually 8.30pm plus to very late at night.
After so many years, I am still a beginner

        Saturday and Sunday is from
7am till about 9:30am.. after that it will be too hot to fly.

as for evening, the time is between 5pm to 7pm.

If you are very new(newbie) to RC plane. I will recommend that you come by on the weekends and there will be more experienced fliers to guide you along. You wouldn't want a "newbie guiding a newbie" situation.(blind leading the blind).

I don't recommend evening time for you if you are just starting out. The reason is that there are more people around the field area(playing soccer; flying kites; and etc) in the evening, and you wouldn't want to risk hitting the people.

We don't fly after 7pm for the obvious reason that we can't see in the dark.(unless you fix lights on your plane, this is still not recommended if you are new)

As for the night flying heli, they are at the void deck of a flat and they have ample lighting there.

        See you!

          hi fishball,

A warm welcome to you from Punggol group.
we normally fly per Mave mentioned,

Sat/Sun morning till noon (where more pros avail to guide you)
Sar/Sun evenings will be light flying sessions.

From Monday to Friday evening, there will always be some folks flying there too.

Its great to see more folks coming to this hobby. however, we also hope you'll be properly trained up to fly safely to avoid any issue, since being near TPE and sometimes families are on field flying kites.

Anyhow, go slow with this hobby, drop by this Sat morning, chat with us, I'm sure many of us will be happy to help you start this hobby bro!

you can also do a search for DHPG pics, look at our planes etc...

          Cheers!

              (S$189-RTF)

              2) http://www.acehobby.com.sg/catalog/p...roducts_id=172

if the weather is ok, i will ta-pau u guys loti-kaya, plata and kopi for u all....
                            dun eat breakfast ok?

btw, i think i'm in trouble.....i'm been surfing so much on r/c and it seems that i'm getting deeper & deeper into it before even starting the hobby!!

I thought of getting a RTF combo but it seems that the TT-Super cub suits a newbie like me. If this is the road to take, then i may require getting all the optional acc like Tx, servos, batts, charger etc....the works!
I'm also looking at the Futaba EX6AP. Is it a good buy as 1-time investment ie beginner to intermediate?

The more I dig the more confused I get......

dig no more and make u more confused. Join the group as advise not me.
I don cook, nor handsome, talk less. learn more still learning from them.
set aside your budget, ur furture see how long u want to go on.
Don like me buy n buy at the end still buying learn nothing. ha ha. But I switch to heli laio.
                              1) what do you want ? plane or heli. choose only one first. try only electric. more place to fly.
                              2) budget
                              3) Tx, how long you want to enjoy this RC world ?
                              4) is a long time investment and bring in fun.
                              5) is it handy to bring to where you want to fly ?
                              think and talk to them.
