Please help to make it happen!

    Hi all,

PUB is going open to the public some watersports activities at Bedok Resevoir and MacRitchie Resevoir, with the rest to follow.

They have mentioned rc sailboat being allowed at Bedok Resevoir, thanks to the hard work done by the RC Sailing Club.

Now the PUB is inviting feedback and suggestions on other activities to be held.

I'd like your help to suggest to PUB to allow RC speed boats too! That will be fun!

Please use this link to make your voice heard!

    Thanks for reading!

    Cheers!
For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.

From what i saw on the news yesterday evening, they are going to allow water skiing on the reservoirs. i don't see why r/c speedboats, even nitro ones, would be stopped

Dun think we can assume. You know the authorities, unless it's black and white, it's no go.....

It will be good if they allow nitro boats but I think it's gonna be a long shot. They'll cite pollution.

          I have a dream......

The authority will usually giv approval to clubs, so tat issues can be addressed to the club committee. Mayb we should form RC Speed Boat Singapore....but I think the condo residents opposite will not like the noise of 10 nitro boats running at same time, electric ones should be fine.

You're right...only registered society or clubs will usually have power to say anything....this is mainly becoz the authorities like to have some scapegoat/someone to blame or pin-point when something happens...

And as for nitro powered boats, i dun think i want to be drinking any unburnt nitros or after-burn oils in my water........heheheh

That's why I think approval for nitro boats will be a longshot, given the noise and pullution.

EP boats is a more likely success.

Hi, I am in discussion with PUB regarding rc speedboat, so far the indication is electric. Glo/gas too noisy and oily. Trust me, electric is awesome. Currently the fastest rc boat in the world is held by electric 120.7 mph.

The boat recovery will be an issue at the reservoir. Need to bring recovery boat or dingy. And there are crocs in there!

                        James,

EP power boat is fine with me. Understand the aversion to GP, although one wonders why wakeboarding is allowed. Maybe power boaters dun have powerful backing. Hahahaha!

IMO, boat recovery is not a big issue for EP coz the batt just don't die on you. Will be able to limp back to shore at least. Of course, if the ESC or motor is fried, that's another matter altogether.

You the same James who has the pink Victoria?

                        Cheers!

I don't have a Victoria, I race the Seawind. I will be racing this Sat. and will be bringing my Catamaran powerboat to test the handling.

Power boats do many aerial aerobatics, sometimes they don't land on the right side!

Whoops! Sorry, mistook you for a James who has a few Victorias. Met him a couple of months ago at Punggol Park when I went there to see ppl sailing.
