      I've just bought a 4mm steel rod from a harrware shop at Kelantan Road. 3' x 4mm diameter for $2.
      For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.

        Hi;

        Thanks for the advise. How do you thread the end of the rod, and cut to the correct length?

        Thanks

            I use a threading die to thread. You can easily buy one from most hardware shops. As for cutting the rod, a hacksaw will come handy!

                Can't help you on this. I've seen some engine - drive shaft coupler at NTC but they are not universal joint type.

                BTW, what happened to your Proboat?

                  Thanks...well...there was a restriction on how big a box USPS is able to accept, think it is 43". The proboat shockwave came in a 47" box, too big to be shipped. UPS shipping kills...so I got myself a nitro hammer instead.

                    So you're on the quest to make your nitro Hammer faster so early on?

                      Yup...I was. but bit of a bad luck (or was I asking for trouble) zipping within shipping lines which of course catches my prop and brought the hammer almost to the bottom....lucky there was foam inside to float the thing.

                      Thereafter, I experienced engine problems...i.e. engine roars over revs won't idle, once in water after a while slows and dies....

                      I almost wanted to return it back for warranty claims. Last draw, I stripped the entire engine (include carb) and rebuilt everything back. I then went to run it in again, miraculously, the thing didn't die and I had almost fiished running in with 5 tanks. Stay tuned!

                        Shipping lines or fishing lines?

                        Anyway, sounds severe. Luckily you've managed to retune the engine.

                            Best is to play in the middle of the pond, not near the cafe.
