Why R/C Boat is not as popular as R/C Planes and Helicopters?

Among all the R/C I find tt R/C boat not very popular... Why?

Just think that how many placeses/ lakes/ponds in SG, we can use/ply ours RC Boats????????? Even u find one most of them will hv sign show that u cannot 'traspassing/using' it. SO NOW U KNOW WHY??

IMHO, the lack of popularity is mainly due to lack of ponds/lakes in SG.

There are many lakes and ponds, just that singapore govt is not opening them up for recreational purposes.

In SG, FW water is precious. Therefore every lake/pond r being used as some sort of water supply.

I stay next to a canal leading to the sea n I intend to go boating there till I find a suitable boat.


Hint hint : We have many golf courses n in between the greens also got many many ponds. But they use the pond to water the greens if I'm not wrong.

I cycle my MTB on the Sentosa Golf course greens b4, kena from the security there. But they let me cycle on the footpath after my apology.
