Procedure to initize a feda with 240 gyro

Guy like to find out is there a "proper or fix" way to initize the 240 gyro with respect to the separate controller on the feda. I always has problem to initiate my feda. either the tail motor is too weak or start too eary WRT the stick position. How the 240 gyro should be initiated with the stick movement? A improper will end up with tail control issue, not able to hold.

    Any advise is welcome.

    Thanks

    Hi

If you read Futaba GY240 manual, it says it need a few seconds (about 3 seconds) to initialized. That means when you plug in the battery, DO NOT MOVE the chopper till 3 Seconds later.

Sorry no manual get it as 2nd thanks, but after 2~3s do we need to move the stick to start the tail motor? I face the problem is if I dont move the stick (all the way to the left and back to the center) the tail will not response. Is this normal. On some case the motor will run at full speed after the stick movement too....not sure what is wrong

U never mention what ESC U using so I assume GWS ICS series.
It is normal. U need to go 0% in order to arm the ESC (In fact most of ESC is like that for safety reason).

For GWS ICS series, U need to go 0% for 2 second (can't remember) to consider valid before it arm itself.

Thanks you are right is the GWS 50 for the tail.

So the sequence is to initize the gyro then follow by the ESC (by stick movement).

On other hand, some time it can initizate without issue (tail stop with stick at mid position) while some time become plane mode (stop with stick at extreme left)! Worst of all sometime can't even initize..... Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the advise...

Loyn, you need to move the rudder stick to the left to initalise the tail ESC. And yup.....after plugging in batts, wait for 3s or so....the gyro also need time to initialise itself. If you had a computer radio, you can add revo mix so that you need not hold the stick to left everytime you plug in new batts..... the revo will take care of everything...

            Cool

              Hi loyn

U said sometime it initialize itself when stick at center...this is possible because you somehow move the tail or rotate the chopper by hand clockwise from top. By doing so... the Gyro will try to compensate it... It compensate till it reaches 0%... With that, your ICS will assume u move the stick to 0% and therefore, it initialize itself.
