visiting Pungol part tomorrow

Hi anybody interested to go down to Pungol part tomorrow afternoon to look at those RC boatS (sail boat?) I am intended to go down just for the fun of it. It will be more fun for a larger group

Was there looking at those sail boat, is the other extreme end of what we have been doing...... sloooooooow and steady. No expensive RC just simple 2 chr with no motor or noice.... u can spend the hold day with just the AA batteries...... money saving as no lipo or BL motor to up grade for...

Mike did take some pic hopefully he will post it soon for your reference. BTW I have brought some ripstop nylon from spotlight after that and plan to restore my home made RC sail boat .... you know what I am thinking

Starting off is cheap and reasonable....
the cost comes when you start racing with each others and you start to get better boats, better sails, better masts, better winch servos, better everything.....
to start with something average(not to lag too much for races), the seawind is a good yatch but kit cost $400++, not counting electronics yet.

Why it cost $400++, that is because the sail boat most average will come with carbon fiber body,boom and mast. Some boat even come with low drag hydrodynamic ballast.

As usual anything that sounds complicated will cost a bom $$$$. Even it may not come with any moving part for both mechanical or electronic

Sailboat race Nov 6

Nov 6, 2 class of boat racing, Thunder tiger Victoria and Kyosho Seawind.

The race start about 1pm untill 5 pm.

If you have any of these boat u can take part. Pls bring along spare frequency crystal. Sail boats are like glider once started they sail for few hours!. If not just bring your sail boat and sail for fun.
