Tampines MRT Field

Hi all. Does anyone fly at the big open field near the mrt ? Or near the mosque side or the hdb flat side ?

ARe there any electric flyers around ? ALso its near the bike park which is inside.

does anyone fly there ? there used to be people flying years ago am i right ?

Has been mentioned before in some deep threads - Resident complains and "kamikaze" into the mosque all contributed to the placed being banned years ago. That's why you don't see flyers there anymore - just some "layang" kite flyers on occasional weekends.

well i was there flyin many year ago when some of the flat have not built yet.
well remanber to take your i/c along a petrol car will be there in 10 min time when u try to hover your heli . that fast the cop cumming cause the call was from resident he he he . try it if u dare.my brother don't belive what i say he go ahead and try . same thing cop cum that fast.heheh

maybe shouldn't fly near the mrt tracks... dunno what may happen and you'll find your plane on the tracks, then whole east west line have to shut down

that place is kind of far away from MRT tracks.. but SUPER near the bike track.. same situation as bdk reservoir slope and bdk reservoir flying site behind mosque so if ure unlucky, frequency clash.. den jia lat already!

the place looks nice for flying.. big and open.. for electric of course but since cant fly there... Gotta find somewhere else ! thats the only big field i found left in tampines

That field is full of infamous RC flying history. Planes flew into the mosque, planes landed on the swimming complex roof top, planes flew into HDB, noise complaints by the residence, but the worst case is a gas heli that flew into a jogger and broke her shin bone. Although I didn't witness it, I can imagine that the sight of it is far worst than any gruesome RC accident pictures ever posted here.

Stay away from that field as far as possible, if not why do you think that there is no flying activities for such a inviting site for more than a decade?

There is no field along street 71. The closest from it is the same field surrounded by ave 6, ave 9 and ave 7, just a few blocks away from street 71. Blood has been shed there and flying at the field is not encouraged. Folks who still fly there are at thier own risks. Again, just across ave 6, there's another flying site.

If you are referring to the CD field along ave 10, that's a different place. Your reference is not accurate.
